Participation and Comments

Participate in this Project

Public involvement in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process helps shape the U.S. Forest Service’s (USFS) and other participating federal agencies’ understanding of issues surrounding the project. These agencies encourage you to:

  • Attend public meetings.
  • Review and comment on the project, including during the comment period following the draft environmental impact statement (EIS).
  • Visit the project website.
  • Request a USFS representative give a presentation to your group.
  • Sign up for the project mailing list.

The federal agencies are working with ODOE-EFSC to collaborate on public involvement opportunities whenever possible.

Provide Questions and Comments

The public scoping comment period closed on August 2, 2010. Comments help the federal agencies identify project issue areas and alternatives.

There will be additional opportunities to comment following other key milestones, including after the draft EIS is published. Future comment periods will be announced. Informal comments and questions are always accepted.

Public scoping meetings were held in areas along the project study corridor in late June and early July 2010. Check out the meeting materials and information presented at the meetings.

Document Availability

Project documents will be available for public review and comment via the Documents page and at public document viewing locations along the proposed corridors when documents are complete and available for review.

If you have limited access to documents on the website and/or at the public viewing locations, contact Cascade Crossing Project.
